I do have to say while funny, Mallrats isn't my favorite of your flicks. For lack of a better word it seems to lack soul. When I watch Clerks, Chasing Amy or Dogma. I see a Personality there. Something which Mallrats sorely lacks. Don't get me wrong I like the film its funny and its entertaining, but it has no personality. If you were to do a sequel could you put that soul into something that's never had it? If so go for it, if not let it lie. Do something that challenges you not just becuase its fun, your gonna have fun no matter what. But to do something that is personal, real, and says something that matters is very rare, but defenitly worth doing. My opinion is to let the flick stand alone for what it is, move on and do a flick that matters to you. Of course that's just my opinion I could be wrong.
