Before I start this I would like to say I love Mallrats and find it to be one of the funniest films ever created. Okay? Good. But I really do think a sequel would suck. Granted the idea of Clerks 2 is an interesting one, and one that would probably work due to the open ended nature of the ending of Clerks, but Mallrats has a definite ending and there is absolutely no reason to ressurect the premise, aside for the recreation of Brodie Bruce, who surely could appear in a different film as the same character.
Mallrats 2 is, in my opinion, a bad idea and reflects negatively on you, Kevin. The fact that you're now resorting to sequels suggest that, whilst the comedy has not run dry, the general ideas have. Please, Kevin, for the sake of artistic integrity, leave Mallrats 2 and come with a superior idea- one that will capture the emotions of a larger audience, rather than playing to a formula which worked previously (if only on video). Granted my views on this subject are not going to be popular on this board but I seriously think you should take some time to think about a different project.
That said I probably would love to see Mallrats 2 and have no idea what I'm talking about. Something about it just seems wrong, though.

PS. T.S.- does that stand for The Shark? As in Bruce The Shark? Just a thought.
