Okay this isn't a slam on you for liking Chasing amy or not wanting a Rats 2. I myself would prefer not to see a Rats 2, but What were you talking about when you said Amy was Kevin's only personal work? DOGMA has to be the most personal movie I have ever seen. It goes beyond all things as simple as mortal love. Don't get me wrong I am no Jesus freak, as a matter of fact I am at best agnostic, if not flat out atheist, but even as the heathen that I am DOGMA spoke to me on a level so much deeper then Amy ever could have, simply because it spoke about a topic much more important then boy girl love ever could. I love Chasing Amy as much or more then the next guy, but come on how could you diss DOGMA like that? I don't know maybe it is just me, but at no point in Amy did the cry reflex ever kick in, but as Ben stood there in front of God, even though it was Alanis Morrishit, I was crying like a fuckin baby. Maybe that makes me an Odd duck, but hell I figured everybody reacted that way.

.: While Mallrats 2 is sure to be a fun project, it's not one that needs to be made. Like most people, I saw Mallrats on video, and enjoyed it immensely. But I think that's where it should end.

: Mallrats fits perfectly into your trio of films: Clerks, Mallrats and Dogma. Clerks is a raunchy glimpse into lame part-time jobs and the conversations between good friends. Mallrats is a wry look at suburban mall life, one that many teens could relate to. And Dogma was a satirical romp, filled with religious innuendo and humor. However, the one film that really stands out from your body of work is Chasing Amy.

: Chasing Amy felt personal. It evoked painful realizations and included some truly heart-wrenching scenes. Love was intrinsic to the plot, but on a variety of levels. To me, this is your most powerful film. And I'd love to see more like it.

: Your fan base will follow you, regardless of what you write and direct. We support your honest efforts and truly enjoy the results. But perhaps it's time to find a project that feels personal and is a blast to shoot.

: "Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so a simple phrase like 'maybe we should just be friends' or 'how very perceptive' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart." --Neil Gaiman
