Well, I love Kev's work. He is REALLY GOOD WITH FANS. I love Chevy's work, and got to work with him for 4 days.
He is sadly, NOT good with fans. He also is not good with many people.

I would have loved another Fletch,and Chevy has STILL been campaigning for one...BUT, I don't blame Kevin, NOR Chevy. I blame the studios and 'Hollywood'...something went wrong.

I love all of Chevy's films,save "Nothing But Trouble" amd that new insipid one...."Snow Ball" or whatever.
I would LOVE to hear about another Vacation, but hasn't it occured to anyone that using a cruise might be pretty funny? Griswolds trapped on a boat?

At any rate, you CAN hate the artist and like the work....I like both in this case, but there are MANY cases where I just do not like the musician/artist, but really dig the work...I cannot STAND Affleck or Damon when not in a Smith film...but loved "Amy" AND "Dogma".
Also thought Affleck was great as Hamilton in 'Rats...
Go figure.
I probably dislike him 'cuz he bones Paltrow. (So, I'm shallow)...
Whatever the case, who cares about a pissing contest between Smith and Chase?
I look at it this way..the fans lost. Smith would have written a brilliant script(But,I'd be willing to bet they re-wrote it to 'dumb it down'...Smith's dialogue is too thought provoking for most. )
Chase , if he was SOOOO hot on "Fletch 3" could have just gotten another guy.
Last I heard, they were thinking about adapting a book with Dennis Miller(Younger, 4 pic deal).
I don't know if this is true(Internet Gossip), but it wouldn't be bad...
But I would have loved to have seen Lee starring in a Smith penned "Son of Fletch".
