: : An example of a Romantic Comedy is like "You've got Mail" or one of those Julia Roberts movies.

: That's one tone for a Romantic Comedy.
: It's also a story of two guys who come to terms with how much they love the women they recently lost and then winning back their love.

I'm going to have to side with Mr. Bowl Smoker here. I think that once you open the floodgates to include Mallrats in the realm of romantic comedy, then you'd have to also allow Ace Ventura, Austin Powers, Happy Gilmore, Tommy Boy, Deuce Bigalow, and countless other completely unromantic comedies into the fold as well, simply because they have a meager subplot where the hero pursues a romantic conquest with some pretty little underdeveloped character. You could find romantic elements in the majority of comedies out there, but I think that the ones where the romantic elements predominate are the ones that deserve the label "romantic comedy". And I just don't feel that 'Rats really applies.

But for the record, I DO still like Buffy.
