Just wondering... Soundtracks - what have your experiences been with getting the movies' soundtracks together?

Have you been refused permission to use anything? And what would you have used if you had the choice?

Have bands or artists (famous ones, obviously) approached you and asked if they could put a tune in one of your movies?

How do you choose the tunes, or is that a trusted henchperson's job?

Oh yeah, and is "Suzanne" by Weezer on any of their albums or is it solely for the purposes of Mallrats? I still love their first album, and have only been able to track down one other (Pinkerton) which isn't as good.

Finally, what's on your stereo this week?
