okay dude, movies had no influence on the civil war or on Abraham Lincoln freeing the slaves. The emancipation proclamation, when Lincoln "freed" the slaves was in 1863, the civil war ended in 1865, and Lincoln was also assassinated in 1865. Motion picture cameras were not even invented untill 1895, by a French dude named Louis Lumiere. and also Down Home didn't come out for 25 more years. It came out in 1920. and the Psycho remake sucked.
