..end it right.

Kevin.. Let me start out by saying, I love your work. Huge fan, have all the current movies on VHS, have bought Clerks and Rats on DVD too. you're one of the people that made me want to be a director. Ok, enough fanboy quality sucking up.

Ok. Please do not go about looking at your next and maybe final view askewniverse film as a sequel. Sure a lot of people on this board have said that It'be ne nifty and cool to make a sequel. and sure I thought cool when I first saw the post because Mallrats is my favorite of the 4 movies in regards to being able to watch it a lot.

Sequels by definition are always lesser than the first, with exceptions being in the case of the Star Wars trilogy, because it wasn't a sequel, it was part of a saga.

Now, Why would such an accomplished filmaker like Kevin Smith, Wish to close off his most beloved saga of movies, with a sequel? I honestly don;t know.

If you want to revisit the old movies, then instead of making a sequel, why not instead make a culmination of the other films? Instead of a Clerks 2 or a Mallrats 2, Why not make one Movie with Brodie Bruce in it, and Dante Hicks, and Randal Graves, and to bring some bit of Amy into it, How about Holden, and of course, Steve-Dave, Fanboy, and who could forget Jay and Silent Bob? Don't make it a sequel, make it a connection of the other movies.

Of course, my opinion and suggestion is just that, my own. Kevin, I know you wont get into anything without a full idea of what you are doing. And no matter what you decide on, my geeky Fanboy butt will be keeping that theatre seat warm, helping to send your daughter to college.
