But I remember reading interviews with Kevin where Kevin addressed Jay in real life as being much more subdued in person, whereas, the character of Jay was an eccentric, flamboyant, unreal characterization for comic relief.

: I read the interview with Jason Mewes that was reprinted on ViewAskew (do not ask me which one..maybe it's the only one!..but I suffer from CRAFT's syndrome!). From what I understand, Jay and Jason are one and the same: a cool stoner who has a lot to say without the bullshit. It's as if Kevin took Jason and without changing a thing about him, and threw him up on the silver screen...Just cuz he's so naturally hilarious.
: As far as the question of whether or not Jay is a virgin; or whether or not he's gay or bi...
: I got the impression in Dogma, that he was just making fun of the fear heterosexual men have about being accused of being gay/bi, as well as the general fear of gay men.
: And who cares if Jay is a virgin or not? Most guys I've known, especially those who are in their early 20's talk like that anyway. I've even heard worse! And that never meant they were virgins.
