: What's the deal with the SUSPIRIA Spectral Collection Box Set?
: Also is it dubbed, subtitled or nothing?
The SUSPIRIA SPECTRAL COLLECTION is a box-set of laserdiscs from Japan that contains SUSPIRIA (letterboxed in English, but mono sound as opposed to the stereo sound of the old letterboxed Image laserdisc), and PROFONDO ROSSO (letterboxed LONG 126-minute version of DEEP RED, in Italian language with no English subtitles).
PROFONDO ROSSO/DEEP RED is supposed to come out via Anchor Bay on DVD with a fresh anamorphic widescreen transfer this March, and with a "hybrid" English/Italian-language soundtrack. The longest version of the film ever mixed in English ran 105-minutes, so at least one of the soundtracks on the Anchor Bay DVD is supposed to mix the English-dialogue that exists with the Italian dialogue for the additional scenes (with English subtitles).
