: Do any of the boys in charge see it as a worthwhile endeavor to pursue putting out an official Chasing Amy soundtrack? Hell, if A Mallrats sequel is being considered, anything's possible. If folks don't think it's a good idea to issue a mainstream soundtrack, for fear of not making much money outside the loyal fan boys, how about selling a limited edition at the stash?
There are some problems (unfortunately) with both of these thoughts.
First, no record company wants to put out a soundtrack for a movie that's 3 years old. Hell, half the reason they couldn't find someone to do it back them is the fact that after "jersey rocker boy" dropped out it was too late in the game.
Secondly, selling them at the stash in any form would be akin to selling Kevin's unproduced Superman Lives script there. All kinds of copyright violations.
A few years back, so ambitious young "go-getters" took it upon themselves to find all the songs and make an unofficial soundtrack. There were two different versions sold around here (with NO input or sanction from View Askew). So now you have a few options. Try to find someone who has a copy and get one made from theirs, or be ambitious yourself and make one.
Hope that helps
