Kevin, I went to the Comic Book convention in L.A. today hoping to meet you. I've never gone to anything to meet anyone before and could care less about an autograph or a part in one of your movies. I don't even have a screenplay for you to look at. I was just hoping to see you and say: "You're the man bro!". Judging you by your movies you seem to be a very creative, intelligent cat. I was just hoping to shake your hand and say thanks. I'm thirty, my little brother is fourteen. He was seriously bummed. I was like, dude, Jet Li is here, but he didn't even care. He's seen Mallrats like 47 times, as well as your other flicks. He was really hoping to see you. I was cool with it, the dude who use to play Shazam back in the day was there, so it wasn't a total blow out for me. Remember Shazam? Before mighty Isis? Homeboy was there representin for 1970's Saturday mornings. It was flashback city. Anyway, the place was a trip, that is the second comic book convention I've been too. Were you planning on coming? Were they frontin? Did they just say you were coming to get people to go? I went to the one last month in the same place and there was hardly anyone there. This one was packed and I know people were there to see you. You could hear everyone moan when we got to the door to buy our tickets and saw the "Kevin Smith has cancelled" sign.
