: You are correct sir. It is the actual movie. Blockbuster now encourages all its employees, from managers to part timers to take the movies home before street date. That way they can tell the customers what the movies are about.

This is true... only managers get screener tapes but it's not as common as it used to be say three or four years ago. Now the movies are shipped earlier and if you are an employee, you can rent them for free as long as they are back before the street date so all the copies can be on the wall. As for Blockbuster's video familiarization policy...yeah right...like half the employee rentals were simply the movies that everyone's seen like a thousand times anyways. I used to rent out the same games like every week. Besides having an actual paycheck...(y'know...money, dinero, bill-paying, food-buying, and most importantly comic book-buying stuff), one of the things I miss is getting free rentals...and its not like I even used them all every week. Believe it or not, sometimes when you work in a video store and get free rentals, then either 1)you just don't feel like seeing movies from your store when you aren't at work or 2)movies lose their value when they are free, because if you don't have to pay then some of the movies just don't seem very interesting. Sometimes though even a free movie can be a total waste of time...hell, there were a lot of movies I wouldn't even "Waste" a free rental on! Such as From Dusk Till Dawn 2...actually I did use a free rental on it and it was SOOOO bad...it didn't even have Salma Hayek in it...not even a lil bit...talk about no redeeming quality!
*ZenD* ..hoping you don't sleep with any of the managers that worked at my store...what a bunch of mutants. These two manager chicks we dubbed "the Mole People..."..yikes!
