: Like him or hate him, P.T. Anderson has never had to apologize for one of
: his films and will never make a film as horrible as Mallrats. I enojoyed
: Clerks and Chasing Amy, but talk about a "bloated sense of
: self-importance." You don't see P.T. Anderson's ugly mug in every one of
: his movies and if you look up pretentious in the dictionary it will say
: Dogma next to it. You're a poor loser K
Oh sweet Goddess...pretentious?
"Dogma" was the least pretentious movie I've ever seen. It even included a freakin' disclaimer in the beginning to declare its lack of seriousness.
Now, "Magnolia"...which keep in mind I utterly adored...is INCREDIBLY pretentious, as was "Boogie Nights". The slow movement, the length, the amount of characters, the monologues about love and death...it's a freakin' opera, man.
What I don't understand is how the fact that Mr. Smith didn't like the movie somehow means either he or P.T. Anderson must be a "loser"...lose what, their sanity?
But what offends me about this post is that you dare call the Sex Lord of the U.S.A. "ugly"...Silent Bob is sexy-fine, just add a bottle of wine. Methinks you are simply jealous of Kevin's hot bod and rock star charisma. So quit the droolin' cause you aren't foolin' nobody.
