Good god man, how blind are you? Affleck was best known for 'thug' parts before Kevin got ahold of him. Did you see his performances in Chasing Amy and Dogma? The 'thank you' scene alone was almost transcendent.

Look, I really don't care about PTA...he's just another director as far as I'm concerned. Not great, not bad either. But Kevin's direction of actors is the best I've seen in a long while. And I've seen a lot of movies.

I saw the skit and thought it was rather stupid. Ben's acting was decent on SNL, but there was nothing to write home about.
