c'mon. it was a college audience. of course they thought it was funny. it's not like my husband went home feeling the need to donkey punch thing. and if you're so easily offended, why are you a kevin smith fan? did you only see chasing amy? i can't believe you've never seen clerks. wait, don't bother. it would probably just piss you off.
: Kevin, After seeing you at Umass last night I
wanted to share some thoughts about the Clerks
cartoon and other stuff. (After all you did ask
how we liked it.) Sheepishly I admit that I have
not yet seen the movie Clerks, but that didn't
prevent me from enjoying the cartoon. The only
negative comment I have is regarding the Pediatric
Burn unit. That just wasn't funny. I don't know
about anyone else, but I didn't want that image in
my head, and I didn't think it was something to
joke about.
: I also feel compelled to comment on the whole
donkey punch affair. Sure it seemed funny, but
what message is being putting out there for
people? That violence towards women is not only
acceptable but it's something to flaunt and joke
about in public? I'm sorry if I simply didn't get
the joke, but it appeared to be a straight-forward
disrespect for women which is something I can
never condone.
