: For those of you that saw Saturday Night Live the other night (the one where Ben Affleck hosted) saw the "Fanatic" skit where Ben Affleck played a guy who was a large fan of Anna Nicole Smith (For those of you that saw it, you know what i mean. For those of you who didn't see it, than go find a copy). Anyway, that skit (recorded earlier in the week) was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.
Honestly, I found that sketch to be *ten* times as enjoyable as Boogie Nights.
:I think that the acting by ben affleck in that skit was on par to the acting in kevin's movies. but it was far better to anything else ben has acted in.
It was an SNL sketch, you goofball. Where he had fake teeth. I think Chasing Amy did better by Benny.
:what am i saying: ben and p.t. work just as well, if not better together than ben and kevin. sorry to say, but p.t. is a really nice guy. i spoke to him the other day for a while about magnolia, and this guy knows how to make a film. i understand that, for some of you, the movie didn't work. but i feel bad for you guys, becuase it worked for me, and it really meant a lot to me.
He was nice because you probably gushed to the man about what a "masterpiece" Magnolia was and what a "genius" he is. If you had given even some meager criticism of the film, like you thought locusts would have been better than frogs, he would have exploded with Gary Oldman-esque rage and wished prostate cancer upon you.
