: : : : Kevin Smith,

: nope

: : : :
: : : : I was wondering if it would be okay if I redid scenes, or possibly the entire film of either Mallrats, or Chasing Amy. Its for a school project. It will be entirely non-profit, it's basically just for fun. I was just curious if it would be okay and if you have any suggestions to help out.

: hey gus van sant, i think you should have just done it and not talked about it here. i mean if your teacher's willing to take the project, then do it. just don't release it to the general public. and hope the sound of hichcock rolling over in his grave doesn't keep you awake at night. :)

: : Fuckin' A, the unoriginality of screenwriters who post on this Board is STAGGERING. No wonder Hollywood is so fucked up, if this is the talent pool they are forced to draw upon.

: thanks Beav, ya arse. oh wait, i forgot: i write my own scripts, yeah, that's right ;)

oops! I thought he was one of ten million others who post asking for permission to rip-off Kev. It just gets so boring. Fan-fiction is another realm entirely, usually not done for publishing. The published stuff (Star Wars "universe", Star Trek "universe", etc, seem to give me the willies).

: but whiel i'm here, thanks for bashing a fellow man just trying to do his shit. I mean he's not claiming to be a screenwriter (hey kev, can i re-write Mallrats exactly the same and put my name on it? all signs point to yes).

I didn't realize his teacher was forcing him to do it. See my reply below!

: : Beav, wishing hot death on all would-be plagarists.

: i wish you hot sex too. :)

Yum!
