: Dear Jennifer; : I wish that things like these were not the only catalist for you to come to the board. I wish that you didn't always get to see such a bad side of the board and of us. : : Of course you're right. The comments are so truely hideous. Being on a university campus today (although far from the reaches of UMass), allows me the 'privlege' to see how these negative feelings towards women are still being carried out. Wether in achuality (the notices posted randomly that alert us to a new rape or robbery on campus) or in proximity (rave/club posters with scantly dressed japanamation women). I realize how I am just suppost to pass them by and not think of each paper as an attack. I am surprised how many of us are silent. : : I'm sorry your visit to UMass had to turn ugly. I am TRUELY sorry that there were people there (or anywhere) who felt that such things would be tollerated (wether at UMass or on the board or that they should somehow be connected to Kevin. I personally avoided said posts because I was previously framilar with the term (but wish I wasn't). And i do so realize that silence does not truely speak but nor is it truely silent. And so I only wished that I had a magical eraser erasor to take it all away. And now I appologuise not only to you and Kevin, but also to the other women and men - the people of the board. : Thank you for your words, wisdom and your compassion.
