: over all 99% of the stuff in Dogma you're not gonna find in the Bible.

: Not the bible, but the books written round about the same time as the bible, which vyed in contention for inclusion, but ultimately did not make the cut into the "official" bible. Many of these writing survive as "less reputable" side-stories, which may be referenced by clergy, but not held as "scripture." All the names and classifications of Angels (Not Kevin's names-Loki and Bartleby; I have my own theories about them)are contained within those "additional reading" books; The "Metatron" depending on your source, is supposedly the prophet Enoch, who became the Voice of God, or alternately the "interloquiter" angel who carried out God's physical will on a few occasions (Staying Abraham's hand so he would not sacrifice Issac, wrestling with Jacob, etc.)
: Also, the idea of a christ-lineage is very real. The order of the Templar Knigts believed that the kings of Moravia were of the christ bloodline; This was one of the heresies that they were eventually "surpressed" for..
: DOGMA, is obviously, mostly comprised of wild flights of fancy and complete and total fiction. But then again, so is the bible. I feel that does not make either work any less meaningful..
