ok not to be total nerd here.... and i am sure this has been brought up before.. but in my late night playstation binge recently, i thought about twisting the 6 degrees of kevin bacon, to the 6 degrees of kevin smith...
since kevin has used michael rooker, ben affleck, and matt damon to name a few... you can almost connect kevin to everyone in through 6 or less people.... for instance Captain Kirk-->Christian Slater--> Minnie Driver-->Matt or Ben --> Kevin

now i no this is not gonna catch on as a hit, but hey its fun during late night binges
