I think Kevin would have the nuts for that. I think the 13th Apostle aspect is funnier.
: That's what I wonder. Jesus is supposed to be a black man, after all, so why not skip the 13th apostle bit and just make Rock The God/Man Himself? ::::::
In the movie, yea Rock says JC is black. But did'nt Rufus or one of the Angelic types say you see God from your own perspective?(I.E. Jesus was black to a black guy,Jewish to a Jew,Turkish looking to a turk,etc.). The Bible verse that Rastafarians use to prove Jesus was black(I.E. African Descent black) describes a Middle-Eastern man, not a black guy. You can interpret it as Jesus was a brother but its an awful big friggin stretch, but the facts remain he was a good hike away from Africa, His Mom was a local, Judah is closer to Turkey than to Africa and the description describes a basic Turk-looking type. And his Pappy has no physical form,so he had no pigment. If I was of Middle-Eastern descent and I saw either the Anglo-German Blonde haired, blue eyes Jesus or the Ice Cube Jesus, I'd be offended. Its like everyone is denying the fact that the guy was from the Middle East. But going to the opposite side of the spectrum is just as dumb because the facts are still ignored.
::Can you picture Rock in a long Afro-sheened wig and robes ministering to his flock? I'd be dying.::
You must have never seen "Life of Brian". That ain't in it, but you'd dig it.
