Right before the scene cuts, the clerk answers the ringing phone and says "Quick Stop." Is Quick Stop a franchise, or maybe a common name for convenience stores? If not, I'm thinking this may be a reference to "Clerks."

Archie comic books had a character named Veronica in them. And she was a brunette! Just like in Clerks!!!!!! Who'd think Archie comics would be hip enough to include a VA reference like that!
Also, the store Randal works at is a "video" store, and I just realized that the Blockbuster down the street also claims to be a "video" store!!!!!!!!! Wow, what a tribute to Kevin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm gonna have a hernia right now just thinking about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
