I make a decent living and could easily AFFORD both, but there are dozens and dozens of DVDs I haven't gotten to that I'd like, so it hardly seems that logical to shell out twice for the same movie.
And while I'll happily agree with you that DOGMA is a well composed movie, I'd rather have more and more DVDs of other well composed movies, and if I decide to make that little comparison, then I'll rent myself the barebones and check it out.
