CA: Hooper SW rant question

I just have a quick question about the Star Wars rant Hooper gives the comic book panel in Chasing Amy. Hooper says that in Jedi, Darth Vader turns out to be white, once again putting down the black man. But, after the ending to Empire where Vader tells white, blond, blue eyed Luke that he is his father, how could Hooper think that Vader would be black?
