I asked Brad at newsaskew.com this and he said that I would be best to ask this question of View Askew Production. Here is a copy of the e-mail and question I have:
I was hoping you could help me with a question I have.I recently went to
Red
Bank and videotaped the stash and took still photos that came out rather
well.(Even got one with Walt)with their permission.I also attended the
Kevin
Smith Lecture at UNC-Wilmington and videotaped most of the evening, except
for the Clerks episode, with the permission of the school and Thalian Hall
at
UNCW.The lecture ran almost 4 hours,which I got about 3 of on tape.At the
event,Kevin only asked for cameras to be turned off during the showing of
"Clerks:The Cartoon",which I did.The reason I ask is I bought a tape on
E-bay a while back of the grand opening of the stash and tour of all the
stops in the viewaskew universe that was "hosted" by Brian O'
Halloran.This
tape was made by someone on the first tour who sold the tapes at a Dutch
price( no bid increases, just a set price) and I have enjoyed it ,since I
was
unable to attend. There is no footage inside the Stash. My question is, I
know
that others would like to see a video of Kevin telling some of his more
famous stories in an extended form and some inside footage of the
Stash,for
the reason that they might not get a chance to do either.I do not want to
do
this if it in any way would upset Kevin,or break any copyright laws or
anything of the sort.I was thinking of making copies and selling them
Dutch
on E-bay to as many as who liked copies and only charging for the cost of
making copies from the original VHS-C tapes and shipping them out to
whoever
wants a copy.I was just wondering if there is an official stance by
Viewaskew on this.I would appreciate any advice. And if you guys would like
a
copy, let me know.I filmed it on a tripod and the quality came out OK. I
have contributed to your site in the past and continue to enjoy it very
much.Thank you for your time.

PS I hope I don't get into any trouble for this,I am just old MST3K fan
who
still believes in trading tapes.Thanks.
