Kevin has had years to contemplate Dante's and Randal's friendship, so he
probably decided that, after years of hanging out with each other, Dante

Thusly, that Dante would do something Randal suggested, if only to see if
it would work.
Don't tell me that this isn't true, because everyone has done something
stupid based on a friend's suggestion at one point in their lives. Show me
