Mega-true story: While I was frolicking (walking) along a street in my lovely (not quite) hometown of Woburn, Ma, I noticed something oddly peculiar. A buddy christ identical to the one shown in 'Dogma'. This was back when the flick had just arrived in theaters, and I was stunned by the incredible identical-ness of the statue (smaller than the one Cardinal Glick presents, of course) to the one portrayed in Dogma. After reviewing the flick on home video, I filmed the part in which Buddy Christ is revealed on a camcorder, brought the camcorder with the paused image of the statue to the buddy christ i knew and was befuddled by, and compared. Identical-ness once again. Sound stupid? Yeah, well I was lying about the camcorder part, but it IS the same statue. Is there some way someone could have had a buddy christ before the release of Dogma?
