Clerks Cartoon target audience

I don't watch a lot of ABC programming, basically because they cancel any show I like and I can't stand Regis Philbin, but I do watch one soap opera, All My Children. I have seen a lot of ads for the Clerks Cartoon during the soap, and this is good, but is this the target audience ABC is shooting for? My Mom watches the ABC soaps and I know that she wouldn't even get Clerks if she did bother to watch it. Maybe I just don't know much about network programming but I didn't think a lot of Kevin Smith fans were soap junkies. Again, I could be wrong.
