Ohkay, there are characters in the movies (an example being Caitlin in Clerks) named after the kids in Degrassi Jr High, and Banky mentions the Canadian teen melodrama in Chasing Amy... So, aside from it being a staple of 80s tv, what's the fixation? Inquiring minds, blah blah blah etc.
