Ok, not exactly. But I did tape Clerks and have rewatched it like twice already. The one distinguishing parallel I see between it and The Simpsons is it's replay value. The episode was funnier the second time and I picked up on most references each viewing. Much like the Sipmsons where I do not see every gag for what it is the first time I watch an episode, I didn't laugh all that much the first time I watched Clerks (with the exception of Randel trying to be black to the jury). But the whole Judge Reinhold/Fast Times/Eddie Murphy/Bev. Cop thing TOTALLY clicked the second time. And after the third viewing I even caught the ER reference in the begining.
All I'm getting at is that it's too bad the show is doomed. It could be much the legacy that The Simpsons is now given the right amount of time and right time slot. Oh well, Disney just doesn't know quality anymore.
