The main argument against Dogma being post-modern is that post-modernism is shit. Post-modernism is when a bunch of no talent deconstructionists realize that they're unable to create anything in this world and decide to tear everything apart instead.

Dogma had a clear, linear plot, a subtle but concrete message, and is enjoyable. All three of these things would be missing in a postmodern text. Postmodernism relies too much on abstract images for the reader/viewer to interpret, or that's the party line anyway. What it really is is bullshit output by somebody with no talent.
