Check out this movie review by the WWF's Perry Saturn over at www.perrysaturn.com :
Dogma (Video Review); 3 stars.
I'm not sure if it would have got the same grade in a theatre, but late night at home this was pretty good.
I'm going to try and review this without offending anyone's religious beliefs. The Catholics probably hated this movie because it made a farce out of church. And it did.
"Well here I go offending someone, I'm sure. Sorry!"
I agree with a lot in this movie. It was supposed to be funny, but it hit some sore spots. Somewhere in time, in my opinion, the church became more important than God. I am no religious fanatic, but I am open-minded and think people have the right to believe what ever they want. Most churches believe that if you don't follow their exact religion, then you are a sinner. So who is right? The preacher on TV conning you out of your last cent, or the Catholic priest molesting altar boys, or the savage who lives in the jungle and doesn't harm a soul?
Live and let live, don't cause harm to anyone, and I'll bet you'll be alright. If religion is not a real sensitive subject to you, see this video. And if it is, I'm sorry if I offended you.
