But couldn't certain aspects be seen as postmodern - the fact that it has a sense of parody, the buddy christ over the old crucifix, when chris rock says that jesus was black, the fact that mary wasn't a virgin etc. Whilst the whole piece might not be postmodern - could some aspects of it be postmodern (like the parody thing)?
