Gundam Wing in the Clerks cartoon?

Hey Kev,
In the Clerks cartoon there were references to Gundams and other things from the show Gundam Wing. Did you see that show and intentionally include those concepts or was it just coincidence? For example, the girl that was on for a split second with the blond hair looks exactly like the one from GW. Of course, I believe the Clerks version of foreign animation was much better than the real things ever have hope for but you know.....
