They used to be my favorite part of my drive home from work. They were funny, intelligent, cool to the fans, and pretty down to earth guys. I met them once.
They were fired by ABC, shortly after they bought WAAF, because of an April Fool's Day joke they pulled. Granted, it wasn't the greatest joke they could have pulled, and it spiralled out of control, and the mayor's wife was worried, it was still a joke, and they got fired over it. By ABC, who promptly sold the station a month later.
2 Years or whatever it was later, they appear again during the afternoon drive. On an ABC station. The rival station to WAAF. And they waste no time in bad mouthing all the jockeys at WAAF who, mere weeks before, they were best friends with.
It sickens me to see how much people can be corrupted by money.
As I sit here now, and look at my Opie and Anthony's Demented World CD, I think of times that once were, and can never be again, and I pray to the Lord above that Kevin Smith will NEVER do something like this to us.
