I'm sure Kevin would do that, if the audience for clerks were lumberjacks and fur traders. As for canadian "quality comedy" how does Alan Thicke and Jim Carrey strike you for quality? But, Canada can't be blamed all by itself for it's poor taste in comedic performers, I assume metric has something to do with skewing thier moral centers.
