I'm not Kevin either, but I am by no means a Lucas-basher.
I loved Phantom Menace, but there were a few things I would have done differently.
1) Why would anyone hold the pilots right next to the ships? Or were the Trade Federation guys THAT dumb?
2) And this is a big one, what has been the highlight of all the other SW movies? The lightsaber fights! This one was excellent. It was choreographed like no other, but it was missing one crucial thing: dialouge! Think about it, some of the best lines from the other three were all in the middle of the lightsabre fight. What did we have in this one, not a word. Don't you think Darth Maul would have taunted a little bit? Especially after he killed Qui-Gon?
