: I want to do movies some day and there is just one question about cameras that I never understood. You know how some times the camera is on one person then it switches on another person and the guy who it just was on is still finishing his sentence, and you never miss a word he said. How do they do that? Is it two cameras because some people just use one. Well if someone cane help me out on that, I'd appreciate it. God Bless, Jon Moody AKA Super Jon
OK, assuming that you're genuine about this question and not being ironic or think you're funny (it happens) then this is the answer.
There are at least two ways of doing it;
1. Use two cameras and one sound source - this is easy, you sync the sound to both of the film segments and just cut the film leaving the sound where it is.
2. Use one camera then shoot the scene again and only choose non-talking cuts to the reverse angle.
3. Use one camera and either location-sync the dialogue of the reverse angle character or ADR it later.
4. Use one camera and ADR the whole thing later (has to happen a lot of times because of background noise anyway)
Hope this helps.
