I know that I am now in Texas, and I coordinate a tour of *ahem* puppeteers...and well, I sent them all over th USA and like last month they went to the stash for me, since I live partially vicariously through them now that I no longer tour. They didnt ask a bunch of questions...but I know that if it had been me, I probably would have touched on acoupla those Q's unknowingly. I mean, it is kinda special, here you have the most accessable director in the biz, and it just comes natural to assume the employees at his store are particularly accessable too.
I mean, I hear the axact same questions every day too, but that's the charm of being good at what I do, I answer it to this person who is asking the same dang question, for the first time, as if it really was the first time. Ya gotta, its why one gets paid.
Of course, annoying customer is bad...enthused fan is just I dunno, it sucks, I know this, but like what me and my coworkers did as just said "You take em tonight.... I can't deal with the enthused fan tonight"
oh well, one day I will go to the stash myself... and I will be on best behaviour.

: Try to have a little patience with people. It's a big moment for the people who go to the Stash, understandably its another day at work for you guys, but come on, have a bit of sympathy. You were once a fanboy.
: On the other hand, I don't feel people who make plans to go to the Stash should expect anything more than a fun trip with their friends to a cool-ass comic shop. It's silly to expect you're going to walk in and Jay's going to be sitting there smoking a blunt like "hey you guys are cool, let's go booty-hunting with our bare hands and wits alone" and then Smitty walks in like "Ohmigod, you are the most marvelous fanboys I have ever seen, how would you star to be in my next movie shooting RIGHT NOW?" Lose your delusions, folks. This is an awesome fan shop, not your fifteen minutes in the sun.
: Now admittedly fans of "Clerks" shouldn't be expecting sweet lovemurmurs delivered in a friendly Southern drawl from store employees, but how bad can the pilgrims who wander in possibly be? At least in the Stash the customers are interested fans, not demanding harpies as are most consumers. Wouldn't it be more efficient to post these "please don't ask" questions by the register?
: It seems to me there are easier places to work if one didn't particularly enjoy speaking with repetitive fans, but you know, that's your bizness.
: I love you anyway man, even though your propensity for stripping in front of hordes of unseen strangers is a bit...ooohh...hmmm...intriguing.

: : Being a former Stash employee this is my advice...If you really feel you
: : need to ask a question at least ask an original one.
: : There is nothing more exhausting than being bombarded by the same questions
: : day after day. Also, Walter is working. This doesn't mean he should be a
: : prime target for a lengthy interview concerning all things Askew. Ask a few
: : questions and move on. Enjoy the store. Don't cross the line from curious
: : fan to annoying asshole. Some questions to not ask Walt:
: : 1) Do those guys ever work here?
: : 2) Do they ever come in here?
: : 3) Do you think they'll be in today?
: : 4) When's the last time they were here?
: : 5) Have you ever met those guys?
: : 6) What's it like to work for Kevin Smith?
: : 7) What's it like to work for Jason Mewes? (who has no stake in the store
: : financial or otherwise)
