Coup de Kev:
I'm in the comic industry and I've been debating with myself about the need for stories the "make you think"
I see a lot of comics and movies that try to pursuade fans into thinking one way or another on poignent social issues and other bollocks like that and it's alwayes boring as hell and makes me want to drive a nail through my head.
At the other end there are books that a soley entertaining but have nothing at steak and are entirly simplistic.
I try to write on multiple levels. On the surface, for people who just want to laugh or escape for thirty pages, I write funny shit. But if you take the effort to actually look deeper, it says a lot more. I think you seem to write this way too.
QUESTION: Do you think there's room or use for crappy "thought provoking" entirly non entertaining, often insulting melodrama comics and entertainment? And what are your thoughts on the other two kinds?
(I'm entirely objective. You can tell, eh?)
