Why can't Jay & Silent Bob be in more movies?

I have heard that Jay and Silent Bob will only be in one more movie. (Most likely the next movie.) When I heard that I was sooo mad. I love them characters sooo much. Can't they at least be in a couple more Kevin Smith movies as different characters? If any one hears anything please post something so I can read it.
