Yeah, I remembered it was Hotmail. It was a cute irony cus the guy who did it was a Linux consultant. Anyway, I doubt the guy forced however much money the guy claimed to get it, in an interview the guy just said he was helping out and didn't want people to be missing their email, so he was probably just reimbursed the money for the domain or whatever microsoft volunteered to pay.
