I was at my (lousy, low-paying) job at the video store yesterday, when a woman came in to rent Dogma. I was more then happy to rent it to her, expressing how good a movie it was. Well, it turns out that her step-daughter was the co-producer for the movie and had worked with Mr. Smith for a number of years, although, in her opinion, had thought he was "difficult" to work with.
On a sadder note, my video store will have to remain Mallrats-free. :( Apparently the son of my boss, when he owned the store, was very adament about not getting it, and it doesn't look like we ever will. So, like my fictional counterpart Randal, I shall have to venture to another, bigger, better video store to get what I want.
