How do you figure it had nothing to say? It clearly stated some very real and true facts. The catcholic faith(I am a catholic)does nothing but say all the bad things that God stands for. Punishment and damnation. I dont know if it is at your church, but at mine the only thing pointed out are human faults(which there are many), not the love of God. Not the undying affection he has for us. Thats the message that needs to be sent. Another thing is this fact: JESUS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT A BLACK MAN. Jesus was born in the middle east, and the normal skin color in that region of the wortld is dark brown/black. Its a common fact, when have you ever seen a completely anglo saxon person(as Jesus is mostly portrayed in popcult)come from Israel? I mean like immigrated not hereditary. Another point it clearly makes is the Bible. It is well known about the many different translations the Bible has gone through. I mean the people of Europe couldnt read Aramaic,so when the Bible was first translated into Latin, who knows what the translator couldve changed about the message. He couldve very well left out many important parts like the 18 years of missing text of Christ's adolescence!! It's all very realistic and Kevin makes good points about it. That movie really makes you think, you know. I mean, there are different words in Aramaic than Latin, so if the translator didnt know how to treanslate a word, he couldve faked it with his own story. Its very realistic. Who the hell knows what we are supposed to beileve!!! The facts are clear, and Kevin does a great job, if you didnt think Dogma was the best of the VA series, well then thats your perrogative, but to say that it wasnt even good was ludicrous!!
Just debatin, not hatin(that rhymes..hmmmm)
Peace,
Nick
