Obviously, 16mm is cheaper- it's not only cheaper per foot to buy and process, but each foot of 16mm holds more frames of footage (16 frames per foot of 35mm, 40 frames per foot of 16mm), so you're saving in more ways then one- less money to buy and process the stock, and less stock to buy.
