: 1- Do you own a copy of famous Wes Craven flick: Last House on the Left? I have read it was being resubmitted for release and wondered if you saw it and liked it.
I saw it, but it's not really my cup of tea. I'd bee interested in seeing the "uncut" version if anybody could ever uncover it.
: 2- Have you seen the cut forty seconds of Opera?(Dario Argento)
Well, the only version of OPERA that would have been cut by 40 seconds would be the R-rated VHS release that South-Gate put out in the U.S. to appease Blockbuster Video- they also put out an unrated cassette that most cool video stores carried, and that version IS totally uncut. Ironically enough, the U.S. is the *ONLY* country in the world where OPERA was ever released uncut. The Italian video release was censored of maybe a minute or so of graphic gore, and Orion picked up worldwirde rights for the English-language version and promptly hacked 12-minutes of exposition out of the flick. This is the version that's available on video almost everywhere in the world, including Japan (it runs 95-minutes). South-Gate Entertainment, a now defunct video company from the early-1990s, aquired the U.S. video rights directly from the Italian producers, thus sidestepping the Orion edits, and of course the censorship in the Italian market.
