I posted this comparison a looooooooooong time ago and I got something that said "I posted something similar by Banky fan-whatever number. This is a comparison to point out how similar the John Favreau/Doug Liman flick SWINGERS is to any VA flick('Specially Clerks and CA):
Key:
Swingers element/character - VA character/element
Robs philosophical muse = Randalls words of wisdom to Dante
Trent = Randall/Banky/Brodie/Jay(Cool dude in the know)
Nikki/Elizabeth = Caitlin/Alyssa(Chick that you fall in love with [Superficailly])
Lorraine = Veronica (Where the real love is at)
Sue = Brodie/Jay (General Cool, occasionally naive guy)
Charles/Rob = Silent Bob(The Jedi of the flick)
Mike = who else but... Dante
There are incredible similarities. If Clerks was set in Swing clubs in mid-90s LA, you could bet your liver it would be the same film. Anyhoo, see for yourself, superficial similarities are few and far between, but the amount of comparisons you can make is astounding.
