actually, I noticed this the first time around. Sure, I said to myself, perhaps it's not a reference. But it seemed to make sense. Kevin constantly referenced the Holy Trilogy, perhaps George Lucas was adding a little wink to that referencing. after all, this is the movie that has a space pod from 2001 in a junkyard and ET in the Senate, which shows that anything is possible. Maybe in episode II they could have someone insult watto, to which he would reply "I dont appreciate your ruse maam." And yes, I do realize how stupid this sounds.
