: : Really the "reference" isn't a reference at all... the ship that Padme/Amidala, Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan and the rest escape in is a J-Type 327 Nubian.
: : Some poor schmucks are of the opinion that anytime the word Nubian or the number 37 is used in a movie it's GOT to be a Smith reference.
: : Kevin did not create the number 37, it comes between 36 and 38.
: : Kevin did not create the word nubian, it means: of or pertaining to a desert region and kingdom in the Nile river valley of South Egypt and North Sudan.
: : But, since the word Nubian was used (it's also synonamous with the Black Power movement) some internet geeks list it as a Smith reference.

: : : I'm watching the Clerks special edition on IFC (awesome) and I noticed that in the deleted scenes Willam (Scott Mosier) makes a Monty Python reference "Help! Help! I'm being repressed!!", and I wonder to myself "Self, how many other Monty Python references are there in Kevin's films?" So, I go to www.IMDB.com, and find out that in the original versions, there isn't a single Monty Python reference! My first question is: Are all the Python references deleted, or is the one in Clerks all there is? My second question came about when I was looking at the references in Chasing Amy. Here it is: Chasing Amy is referenced in Episode I???!!?!? Please tell me what the reference is, cause that is the most bizarre thing I've heard (besides me getting a girlfriend, but that hasn't happened) Please tell me what the reference is cause I've spent $15 renting and paying late fees trying to find it. By the way. NOBODY should have to watch Jar Jar Binks over and over...I'm losing my mind.
